The craftsmanship is exquisite, with a robust and powerful hammered-texture pattern that varies in density and transitions smoothly and naturally. The entire teapot’s hammered texture resembles the layered ripples of an endless sea. The handle and spout are perfectly proportioned, while the flower-petal-shaped knob is exquisitely delicate and petite, enhancing the teapot’s dignified elegance and luxurious charm.

The hammer-texture pattern originally originated in China’s silverware craftsmanship, embodying both the traditional elegance and the interplay of light and shadow characteristic of its time. Thanks to Japan’s exceptionally well-preserved traditional regulations, this technique has been remarkably preserved and widely applied. It is the most common texture found on Japanese metalware, and many consider it one of Japan’s uniquely traditional crafts. This pattern is particularly prevalent on copper and silver objects that exhibit excellent malleability—precisely the kind of craftsmanship that our own people often lack. The hammer-texture technique also represents the ultimate test of a craftsman’s skill: there are no calculative methods or mechanical aids involved; instead, it is painstakingly crafted by hand, stroke by stroke, relying solely on years of accumulated expertise. The entire teapot body is made of pure silver, while the lid features a smooth, press-fit closure with a centrally riveted “wrapped-chrysanthemum” knob. Below the knob, chrysanthemum petals form the handle. The teapot’s body is encircled throughout by a large, semi-circular hammer-texture pattern. The spout is a double-curved design, ideal for slow, controlled tea infusion. Behind the spout, there’s a single, unobstructed mesh screen. The handle is a curved, woven bamboo handle, and the base of the teapot boasts a sand-textured hammered finish, enhancing both durability and aesthetic appeal. With a capacity of 1200 ml, this teapot can yield approximately twenty-four cups of tea, making it perfect for gatherings where multiple people enjoy tea together.
