The surface of the teapot features the “chasing and engraving” technique, delicately etching scenes of tranquil countryside landscapes. It evokes a vivid impression reminiscent of the poem: “White feathers float on green waters, red webbed feet stir clear ripples.” The majestic geese, flowing rivers, vibrant red flowers, and lush green leaves are all rendered with masterful chasing and engraving skills, creating a dynamic interplay between reality and illusion.
